Oh Vee, That face is precious, I'm sure she is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge. I still miss my Kitty too.

Dear Vee and Kim, I am so sorry to read that you have both lost siblings. I must have missed that in an earlier post. They must have been very special people as you both have precious memories of them. The dog bed video was too good! Anyone sharing their home with a cat, knows that they just allow you to share their space. I have seen animal steps that allow your pet to climb up on the bed. I don't know whether this would work for you or not, Kim.

Thanks so much Callie. I also love ♥ the Rainbow Bridge idea Kitty. We come to love our pets as family, and like family they aren't here forever, but the Rainbow Bridge helps comfort us too. Attachment Deleted

Chico & Tink (the Vultures) swarm around Bentley everyday, all 3 times he gets fed. Poor Bentley never gets to eat in peace.

Oh, he's still kicking. Still needing 24/7 supervision. Had several people interested in taking him, but once they found out all of his "issues" they backed out. So we still have him for now.

Callie this is for you! When we started this thread you said you couldn't have pets right now and that you were living vicariously through all of us. This is not one of mine but today when I saw this my first thought was that you had to see this. So ENJOY!!! Everyone else can enjoy it too.
The puppy is 3 weeks old and soooo cute! My Molly is 13 years old and still can't howl.

Thanks Kim. I did enjoy the video. Sweet little Molly was just not born to howl. Last night I watched the first round of the Westminster dog show. I was in heaven. I loved every breed. The final show is tonight on USA channel.

I am on a high right now because I snuck down to the dike today. Andy warned me not to get out of the car because I didn't have my oxygen with me. Our weather has been so lovely for a week and of course I had to walk a bit. It always takes me by surprise at how pristine the area around our dike is. One of the reasons I left the car is a Giant Blue Heron flew in front of my parked car and I had to follow it up the dike. We don't get to see them often. I also heard loud honking and looked up to see a flock of Canada Geese flying in formation above me. It is early for them to be here but the warm weather has fooled them. Loved my walk!

I have another funny little story about my dike, or at least it made me smile. Saturday was a beautiful sunny day and my walk inviting.Across the small river, bordering the dike, are pastures. One is lush with green grass and no animals EVER! I had to laugh on Sat. when I saw that six black and white cows had broken through the fence of their adjacent farm and were grazing happily in the prohibited pasture. I could almost see the guilty expressions on their faces. I wanted to yell to them "enjoy your lovely meal because soon you will be discovered and herded back to your boring little farm." The pasture was empty today.

I'm so happy you got to see the blue heron, the geese and now the cows.
They are all a blessing. Every critter I see puts me on a high like you said. Isn't it a wonderful what animals bring to our lives!
