Secret Garden Coloring Book, Colored Pencils, and Gel Pens
Believe it or not, I checked on EBay under sold items and this thing is being sold for between $25.00 and $50.00!

While the price for the coloring book etc. makes it seem like a good prize, how many people really need or want this? The "Surprise" category is just a real bust to me. A small appliance, small electronic device or accessory, or a gift card would be so much nicer. A coloring book or a t-shirt just doesn't cut it. I do like that we can now choose which gift card...Target Walmart or Amazon for the gift card auction. That is a nice improvement. Anyone have more ideas on this topic? GSN is still trying to push the tokens too much.

Well everyone I just checked the Surprise auction and the bidding is on fire. So I guess there are people who want this. My mistake. Most likely someone with young children or grandchildren would appreciate it. I have grown children but no grandchildren yet but maybe down the road I would be interested too. I will say this. It is a great change from the t-shirt they had been pushing.

I just checked the price for the coloring book, pencils, and gel pens on Amazon. They go combined for approx. $40. Also this is more of an Adult package. I saw where the coloring book goes for $35 as a "Collectible". That is somewhat interesting. Not as terrible as a prize as I first thought. It's just not for me.

bear92455 the adult coloring books are a HUGE thing right. They are considered therapeutic & help stimulate the brain. They are popping up everywhere & yes, they do cost a good bit of money. I thought about bidding for it, until I saw it was 'On Fire' lol.

I know we've discussed this before in previous posts, but I forgot & I'm too lazy to go back & look for it lol.
This new Sweeps that is going on, the Year of the Monkey Sweeps, you can enter 200 times at 150 Oodles per entry. Which would mean 30,000 Oodles. Can each person only enter 200 times total for this Sweeps, or can I enter 200 times & then go back & enter another 200 times & continue entering as many 200 entries as I want, or is it only 200 entries per day???

As far as I know you can enter as many times as you want. I think the # just stops at 200. (the coloring books one does too)The new WalMart Sweeps is sad, it's the same 150 oodles entry fee, Use your Oodles to score a free shopping spree at Walmart! ~1st place: $200 Walmart gift card ~2nd place: $100 Walmart gift card ~3rd place: $50 Walmart gift card Enter before midnight ET April 24th. The way this drags on.. many will enter hundreds of times- & maybe only get $50.

Well, that's what happens when GSN doesn't offer much to bid on. It's a shame that players just give in to it. Just a short while ago no one would have bid that for $25. Bets like that were for $500 gift cards. I wish more players would just say no!!! I spend way too much time earning oodles, there is no way that I would blow a million on $25. GSN may never offer anything more than $25 gift cards so I will never bid on another gift card just on principle. I will take my chances with sweepstakes and nothing less than $100 there either. GSN keeps doing things we don't like and as long as players keep following along... GSN will keep on doing it. Just think about it, I saved Oodles for a year and only had 500,000 but finally had enough to at least have a chance at a $100 or more gift card. Then GSN quit having auctions for anything except $25 gift cards. Now it will take another year or more before I will have enough for a $25 card, that's just crazy. I'm sorry but I just won't do it.

I was thinking maybe this member was new to the site & wasn't sure what to bid, but I pulled up their profile on GSN & she's been a member since 2010. I look at least every two weeks now at the winners list on Player News & for the last few months, the winning bids everyday for the $25 giftcards is in the low 300,000's. So the only thing I can figure is that she must never look at the winners list to see the bid amounts that have been winning. I'm sure if she does look at the list she wouldn't have spent that many Oodles on her bid. Poor lady.
Anyways, as I said above, I searched for her profile. My first search I used her entire name & it came back with no results. So my second search, I just typed in 'rae'. I took a screenshot of the first two pages of members. Does anyone else find anything odd about this list?!?!? Are these 'raeana's' all the same person, or are these fake accounts??? I can't imagine that many people having this same username with just a one number difference, & with them all logging in at the same time like it shows they did.
I understand how you feel kitty. I never really used to use my Oodles on anything. I just enjoyed playing the games & collecting the Oodles. I do remember back when they had DVD's you could buy with your Oodles & other things of that sort. I just recently, in the past two years, started spending my Oodles. And the only thing I would usually use them on was the $25 gift cards. I would place a bid AND enter the Sweeps for it, but I would only do it for the week that they had a gift card I actually wanted (Target, Walmart, or a gas card). If it was a Home Depot one or anything else for that week, I wouldn't waste my Oodles entering a bid or the Sweeps each day of that week. But then when they switched to this new way of doing the gift cards & stopped having other Sweeps & auctions that people wanted to enter, I will now only enter the Sweeps. I won't bid on them anymore because I'd rather save my Oodles. I've won the auction 2 times in the way way past & both times my winning bid was well under 200,000 Oodles. And now days people are winning them with over 300,000 Oodles....thanks but no thanks. I'll save my Oodles for something better (for what? I don't know yet lol). And I'll continue just entering the Sweeps for 750 Oodles each day. My mom is the same way, she only enters the Sweeps daily for the $25 gift card & she won one back in the middle of February & then she won another one just last week. But, to each their own.
