Apple Dumplings! the easy way : 4 apples - peeled, (quartered)1 (16 ounce) can refrigerated flaky biscuit dough 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup real butter, melted 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon & dash of sugar mix Add a big dash of your fav. sweetener- I use all natural types, (but your choice)Directions:Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).Butter a 7x11 inch baking pan. Separate biscuit dough into 8 pieces. Flatten each piece of dough into a circle. Wrap one biscuit around apple pieces, place, seam side down, in pan. ( I bake approx 10 mins first) like a pre-bake In small bowl, combine sweetener, water, melted butter and vanilla. Pour mixture over dumplings in pan. Sprinkle cinnamon mix on top. Continue baking 30 to 35 minutes, until golden. Serve hot. Optional - pecans, raisins & top with whipped cream or ice cream of course!
