This is a video link of our little granddaughter Annie singing the national anthem at a professional baseball game a few days ago. Since the 4th of July is coming up I thought I would try to post it here. It might work and it might not.
Here it is:

Hi callie, I just watched your granddaughter's video plus two more that I saw there. One from Annie and the other a recital. She is really cute and quite a little fireball as my voice professor would say. She should definitely keep that up and someday we'll be seeing her on Broadway. You must be so proud of her. I was a voice major in college and had hoped to teach musical theater. Watching talented young vocalist really makes my day. Thanks for the link!

Wow! What a voice!!! Callie, she's amazing!!! I was blown away by her performance! Even at 9 years old she has 'range' that most of us only dream of having! She was definitely born to sing and what a nice treat it was to see your little granddaughter singing the National Anthem at a Pro baseball game! She literally brought the house down with that great voice of hers!!! Do you know if she's planning to pursue a career in singing or is it just something she does for fun and entertainment?
Also, about the "Annie" video Kitty spoke of, is that one also of your granddaughter singing? If so, would you please post the link for that one too.

Thanks so much Kim and Sara. We are proud of Annie (she is our only granddaughter), but as her grandparents , if she had walked off that field without singing a note, we would have thought she was amazing. Kim, thanks for the other links. I had no idea there was more videos of Annie. There are so many opportunities for children nowadays. Annie is playing in a baseball tournament in central Washington this weekend. She also plays soccer, piano and travels with a dance team. I don't know how all the parents of this generation of kids do it. They live in their cars. Annie's piano teacher is the one who encouraged her parents to take her to a voice teacher. She works with the most talented group of kids and focuses on teaching them how to use their voices without doing harm.

You are very welcome callie. I am so happy that your granddaughter has a voice teacher who teaches healthy vocal techniques. That is so important for young singers. I don't know how parents these days do it either. With your granddaughters many talents, I believe her parents time and energy is well spent. Your granddaughter sounds like a very well rounded young girl.

Since I posted here a video of our Annie singing the national anthem at a baseball game, I thought I would update you on Annie. The UW just e-mailed her parents asking her to sing at a men's soccer match in Oct. She has also had a call back for a part in "A Christmas Story". The movie has mostly all boy parts, so I don't know how that will work out. I guess it has been made into a musical so maybe it is different. She had to be able to sing and dance at the audition. She is white water rafting in Colorado with her brother and parents this week and I will be glad when they are safely home!

This is so cool, Callie! Big congrats to Annie!!!
She is so talented and has an awesome singing voice! Not to mention she's cute as button to boot! lol I was in awe at her performance when she sang the National Anthem at the baseball game, so I really hope she gets the part in "A Christmas Story". That would be really special and a great opportunity for her! Please keep us informed as I would really like to know. I also hope you will be posting another video of her singing the National Anthem at the soccer match in October.

Thanks, Sara. Annie is a sweet, busy little girl. We just sort of stand back and let her fly. Of course, we are not her parents who must drive her to all these activities. Bless them and all parents who spend hours in their cars transferring their kids from one activity to another.
