Is this stuff legit?
I've built up 4000 reward points so far and I guess you can use them to win gift cards and stuff, but it looks like you need to sign up for cash games to redeem them. It seems kind of fishy, but since I already have some and will probably get more (since they stopped offering Oodles and Tokens in those weekly contests), I'm wondering if I should bother with them.

I have almost 30,000 rewards points that are worthless because I'm not a cash player. If I were to decide to start playing cash games, GSN only allows 5,000 rewards points to transfer over, meaning you lose all the other rewards points you've spent many hours playing the games to earn. If you're not a cash player, then don't waste your time playing the free games they offer you to win the rewards points.

Okay good to know.
I'll still play the weekly tournaments since they're free and offer cash prizes, but I miss them offering Oodles as a secondary prize (as opposed to the reward points they now offer).

I too miss the days when Oodles were offered through WorldWinner games, even though the reward points were worthless. I love the Mahjongg Dimensions in GSN Free Games, but the one in WW was fun for a change up. The weekly promos for Oodles are now all casino games. I play them for Oodles but honestly there is not one that I like or even play otherwise not for tokens or anything.

This is a great question. I also used to play World Winner games for oodles, and have well over 100,000 rewards points saved. These recent Promos are crappy because there are no oodle rewards. This topic was discussed back in the old GSN message boards where a "regular" player decided to Upgrade his account, because now & then they try to make an offer that's hard to refuse. (free cash; game credits, gift cards, etc) Imagine his surprize when he lost over 300,000 Rewards Points - which are worth big gift cards ($500.00). Anyway he pretty much begged Angel to help him reverse it & get them back. (I don't know if it ever happened), but the points seem worthless if they take most of them back. I heard you can keep 12,500 in some offers. Yes, I just checked: "As a free player you can earn up to 12,500 redeemable Rewards Points. Become a cash competitor to redeem these Rewards Points for $20 in Game Credits! After you upgrade, you can earn UNLIMITED Rewards Points, fully redeemable in the Rewards Store for Walmart, Amazon.com and Visa gift cards — and more!"
When the day comes I can keep all my Rewards points, I may think about it. Buyer Beware.... Oh yeah, I look on the home page "View Recent Winners" and the same names win cash every week! I hear it's the players with "touch Screens" zoom zoom!!

They're offering Oodles with the latest weekly prize spree (Solitaire Rush).
Anyone else have end up having to load the game multiple times on that site? Over half the time, it crashes and forces me to restart.

Thanks Dan. Thank goodness, not too often. I hate it when that happens...

Apparently, they are instantly converted to game credits so I hope he at least got that (should be at least $400). Still a very deceptive tactic on WorldWinner's part. Shame on them. Ironically, I'm actually considering using the GSN offers to get 12500 reward points and then convert to cash and get 20 bucks worth of game credits. Now, there are a lot of things that can go wrong here. A lot of hidden catches that they may not mention upfront (I heard something about an account maintenence fee), I wonder if it's something that can be taken advantage of. Also, do not trust those 'free rewards' that popup at random. A lot of them are links to scam sites with hidden catches (such as laloot).

Hey Dan, I spoke to a friend who is a W.W. Cash Player, and he said they didn't have maintenance fees that he knows of. He said many times his balance was very low and he waits for promos, or gets lucky and wins on free game offers they have. ( after you are a member a while, they have games you get a free chance to win) lol that's where I would be ready by playing the free warm-up games... As far as he knows, they will also double your first deposit, so that would be the best time to put something extra in. He said there's alot of really good players there, but once he won $200.00 in a cash tournament.
Best o'Luck to ya!

They're offering an easy 2000 reward points through GSN. It's on My GSN --> My Promotions. All you have to do is log on to world winner by clicking on "cash games" (you don't have to sign up for them, you just have to access them through GSN). Essentially, you're just logging on and the next time you go on worldwinner, you're 2000 reward points richer.

So I managed to accrue over 12500 reward points via those offers on GSN (play X game 15 times to get 500 reward points ect). It took a while, but when I did, I finally switched over to cash players. You're forced to make a deposit and give your credit card info and all that, but I got a pretty good deal. By making a first deposit of $1.99, I got 15 extra dollars in game credits. Not to mention that 20 dollars in credits from the reward points. So essentially, for $1.99 I got a $36.99 deal.
I actually managed to win a couple of games (Wheel of fortune and bejeweled) and you do get a very small amount (literally nickles and dimes) for second place (so you're guaranteed at least a nickle back if you're doing a 2 player tournament).
That said, there are a couple of annoyances and a few concerns I have. -One annoyance is that you're no longer able to play games for reward points. You get reward points by playing in the tournaments and there are other offers (related to deposits), but all the old ways to get reward points are no more once you cross over. But that's okay because of annoyances number 2... -The games failing to load properly. This is still a problem (at least for me). Though usually, hitting refresh doesn't force you to pay a reentry fee, hitting it at the wrong time (once the game is loaded) creates an error and one time I did get an automatic zero.
I'm also worried about the fact I had to give my CC info. I didn't think I would be making a deposit when I signed up for cash games (it's required) and thought it was just for security purposes, but apparently I made a deposit via credit card.
Also, that account maintnence fee is only if there's no activity for 6 months. Though I hope by then, they'd allow you to just cancel your account.

Okay, so the games don't fail to load as much now. That's good.
What's not good is that I ended up losing my winnings. You see, I still had game credits left, which I assumed would pay the entry fee. Instead, they took money out of my winnings. Game credits + winnings are what make up your balance. But only when you go into "My Account" does it show which of that is winnings and which is game credits and that's when I noticed that the 6-8 bucks I had in winnings was less than 2 dollars (since then I managed to win my money back). I thought about withdrawing the money before playing more games, but it said that I wouldn't be elgible for 5000 reward points (3500 = $5.00 in game credits) when I deposit 10 more dollars.
Overall, it's a lot of fun, but like I suspected, there's some things you gotta watch out for.

So I ended up switching over to my debit card and paying for the 10 dollar credits. At the end of the day, I ended up withdrawing 19 bucks. So when all is said and done, I made a 7 dollar profit. Though I still have 43 cents left in the account along with a few pending contests and about 1500 reward points. Aside from the free tournaments they offer every day (which seem really hard to get anything close to top 50), I doubt I'll put much more in unless I get more reward points of free credits (which they offer in one of the GSN drawings).
